Dinner at Grasing’s in Carmel, California

Last Friday night I got to be part of a special dinner put on by California Farmers and their website Know a California Farmer.  (Disclaimer:  The agency I work for works with KACF.com)  Bloggers interested in food/cooking from around the state were in attendance.  Since I also write about food, it was a great experience for me.

The bloggers in attendance were Chef JohnMichele Manfredi, Irvin Lin, Lisa Camenzind, Tami Weiss, Christine Young and Catherine Enfield.  Be sure to check out all of the bloggers that were in attendance.  They write some great stuff you won’t want to miss.  The dinner was at Grasing’s in Carmel, California.  One thing I learned on this trip is that when you are eating with a bunch of food bloggers, nobody eats a warm meal, all the pictures need to be taken first!

Chef Kurt Grasing put together a wonderful meal, and when you include such great company with great food it makes for a wonderful evening.  Lots of great conversation ranging from food trucks in Sacramento to Chef John’s Food Wishes blog being acquired by AllRecipes.com.  Brian Antle from Tanimura & Antle was also with us at dinner and talked about their farm which we toured on Saturday (more to come on that in a future post).

I wanted to say thank you to all the great bloggers and I really enjoyed meeting all of you last weekend.  I hope we stay in touch!  Here are some of the great dishes served at Grassing’s.

Flat Iron Steak

Vegetable Lasagna

California Sea Bass

Creme Brulee
